The 2016-2019 pros are a bitch to rebuild. You’re also paying for the labor to replace it which is extensive. If it was a 15” pro the price sounds about right, if it was a 13” you likely damaged other components. Also liquid easily leaks through the top case to corrode parts underneath. And the only parts Apple provides are the key caps themselves, and the whole topcase(the aluminum/the keyboard/trackpad/battery/touch bar it’s all one part). If you don't have AppleCare+, you'll pay the out-of-warranty fee for that type of repair.
